Individual Therapy helps an individual identify strategies to cope with current challenges/difficulties. It involves setting therapeutic goals, learning skills to manage one's symptoms or triggers to empower the individual to live a healthy life. An individual's past may be discussed if there are past traumas.

Crisis Intervention is a short-term management technique designed to reduce potential permanent damage to an individual affected by a crisis. A crisis is defined as an overwhelming event, which can include divorce, violence, the passing of a loved one, or the discovery of a serious illness.

Career Counselling (including leadership development) helps an individual know and understand oneself to make career, educational, and life decisions. Career assessment tools are used to analyze one's strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes to explore one's academic and career aspirations.

Clinical Supervision and Supervision of Supervision are structured processes of supporting, educating, and evaluating a mental health professional's or clinical supervisors’ work by an appropriately trained and qualified supervisors.

Mental Health Talks/Training, conceptualisation and conducting training and talks on mental health issues, career profiling/development and crisis intervention/management.

Being and Becoming encompasses what therapy is about. Being is the current state and Becoming is the constant change that one undergoes during therapy. This captures the essence of therapy, where one may be experiencing a dissonance in the current state and works with a clinician to effect a change for one's well-being.

Malar is a Singapore Registered Psychologist (SRP), who has worked with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma and youth sexuality for more than 25 years.

She has also used personality and career interest tools (.e.g. 16PF, 15FQ+, Myer-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory) to provide academic advising and career counselling to young and working adults. She is trained in crisis management and intervention, and has supported various crisis both at MOE and national level. She is competent in providing online counselling, having completed cyber counselling training. She is an approved supervisor by Singapore Psychological Society and has supervised counselling psychologists and counsellors for the past 15 years. She chairs the SUSS Counselling Programme Advisory Board and is an active volunteer trainer with the Singapore Red Cross Volunteer Management team.
